Terveisiä Tartosta! Olemme jo muutaman päivän viettäneet Tartossa, joka on meille kuin toinen koti. Saavuimme maanantai-iltana, majoituimme kaksioomme ja heti seuraavana päivänä suuntasimme katsomaan suunnistuksen MM-kisoja reilun tunnin matkan päähän.
Greetings from Tartu! We've spent a few days here, this town is like a second home to us. We arrived on Monday evening, our accommodation is a one-bedroom apartment. The next morning we drove to watch the orienteering world championships about an hour south of Tartu.
Keskiviikkona oli kisoissa välipäivä, ja me vietimme sitä lähinnä pakohuonepelissä (emme päässeet ajoissa pankkiholvista ulos) ja shoppaillen. Torstaina oli vuorossa seuraava pakohuone, josta selvisimme ulos ennen ajan loppumista. Iltapäivällä sitten katselimme suunnistusta telkkarista ja illalla menimme tietenkin Raatihuoneentorille palkintojenjakoon, tulihan Suomelle sentään pronssimitali keskimatkasta!
On Wednesday there were no competitions, and we spent it in an escape room (we didn't manage to get out of the bank vault in time) and shopping. Thursday we played the next escape room game, and this time we got out in time. In the afternoon we watched orienteering on the TV and in the evening we of course went to the Town hall square for the medal ceremony. Finland did get a bronze medal in middle race!
Huomenna perjantaina lähdemme täältä majapaikastamme, jossa olisimme viihtyneet pidempäänkin. Menemme Elvaan katsomaan viestikisaa, mukavaa katsomosäätäkin on luvattu. Eilen ja tänään on sadellut. Kisapäivän päätteeksi suuntaamme sitten viikoksi partioleirille, eli nettiin ei sieltä pääse, ellei halua maksaa jotain roaming-hintoja. Ehkä pärjäilen ilmankin! :)
Tomorrow Friday we have to leave our accommodation, although we could've spent more time here. We are going to Elva to watch the relay, the weather forecast promises a nice spectator weather. Yesterday and today it has been raining. After the competitions we are going on a scout camp for a week, no Internet there, unless I want to use the expensive roaming prices. Maybe I will survive without the Internet. :)
